South Tees Site Company - Air Conditioning Supply, Installation, Servicing, and Maintenance

Case Studies

Previously SSI Steelworks, South Tees Site Company is a 4,500-acre site owned by the government. The area is one of the largest redevelopment opportunities in the country and STSC are responsible for making the area safe to aid future developments. At present, the plans are to develop the area into a giant business park as part of Teesside’s regeneration plan.

Project services

As part of a 3-year contract with South Tees Site Company (STSC), DFP Services are responsible for:

  • Routine servicing and maintenance
  • Supply and installation of new/replacement units
  • Remedial (planned) work including fault investigation
  • Reactive repairs and emergency call outs

To deliver high quality and compliant air conditioning services, all of the Engineers engaged on the contract hold the below qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering
  • F-Gas Cat 1 which covers:
  • City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants
  • BESA
  • Level 3 in Basic Mobile Air Con Systems [7543-01]
  • Level 3 Understanding Hydrocarbon Systems [6187-31]

The industrial nature of the site, as a former steelwork, means that our Engineers have to work around stringent and robust processes and procedures to safely install and maintain equipment at STSC.

Our Engineers must have relevant safety passports before working on the site and complete a thorough site induction. All Engineers are provided with robust PPE to further ensure their safety.

The competence and consideration of our Engineers has been personally recognised by STSC’s staff. An example of some of the excellent feedback we’ve received for our Engineers includes:

“The work was carried out professionally and without issue. Your guys are a credit to themselves and your company”
